Flower Grassol
Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami inspires my affinity toward portraying the lotus. We are asked to visualise the lotus flower as an analogy of our full spiritual unfoldment.
Progressing from our instinctive to spiritual nature, our soul “unfolds” like a beautiful lotus. We slowly evolve through the water, finally breaching the surface into the light. Here we bloom and blossom into our full potential and splendor.
In this piece there is a number 4 hidden inside the vase, which calls back to my son's age at the time this painting was created. Getting to watch him grow and blossom into the boy he is inspires me to create.
